Teach Our Children Well

Teach Our Children Well

This photograph of my husband and daughters was taken, on a foggy February morning, on one of our weekend hikes. As they walked ahead of me I was struck by how small they seemed in relationship to the forest and tried to capture a sense of that comparison.

For us, quality family time is spent exploring the outdoors. We believe it is important to teach our children about the natural sciences, in a fun adventurous way, so they will come to understand their place in the cycle of life. If they can truly understand how everything from to the trees, to the sky, to the sea is connected, we hope they will realize how vital it is to preserve our natural spaces.

The photo name was inspired by the lyrics of the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song – Teach Your Children.
